3SGF Supports AB 1227: HT Prevention Education Legislation
As the bill was presented on California’s assembly floor today, 3Strands Global announced its support of AB1227, The Human Trafficking Prevention Education and Training Act. The bill, authored by Democratic Assemblymember Rob Bonta and joint authored by Assemblymember Evan Low, mandates prevention education for teachers and students in California on labor trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.

CA Partnership Launches Statewide Education Program, PROTECT To Fight HT
A public-private collaboration of law enforcement, government, education and human trafficking leaders today announced the launch of PROTECT, an education program designed to reduce human trafficking in communities across California. PROTECT is being rolled out throughout 35 rural California counties over the next three years, with the goal of reaching potentially 325,000 students and teachers.
