Today, 3SGF announced a groundbreaking study that calls out the usage and benefits of artificial intelligence in the war against human trafficking. The study coincides with National Human Trafficking Awareness month.

3SGF mobilizes communities to combat human trafficking through prevention education and reintegration programs. For over a decade, we have worked closely with survivors of human trafficking, individuals who have experienced trauma, and other vulnerable communities. This has provided us with unique and invaluable perspectives on the impacts of trauma in the workplace and the vital importance of being trauma-informed.

Sacramento, CA (August 8, 2022) - 3Strands Global Foundation (3SGF) is proud to announce the Utah State Board of Education approved the first Human Trafficking and Child Abuse Prevention educational materials for Utah students. We are one step closer to our vision as Utah students will have the opportunity to learn how to PROTECT themselves and their friends from exploitation.  Thousands of students will take the PROTECT training beginning this year!

Ghislaine Maxwell and R. Kelly were sentenced for their respective crimes of sex trafficking. Holding perpetrators accountable for their crimes is paramount and Maxwell and Kelly’s respective ’20 and 30-year sentences are an important move by our justice system to do just that.

Sariya Rowland, a Sacramento-area resident, is crediting a nonprofit program with helping change her life for the better.

This comes after what she says were years filled with neglect and abuse. She said she is a victim of CSEC (Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children).

To celebrate the culmination of Family Strengthening Month, 3Strands Global Foundation is hosting Prevention Changes Everything: Conversations On Abuse and Exploitation Prevention. As part of this event, 3Strands Global Foundation will be hosting a panel to discuss prevention as a way to end exploitation and abuse in UT. The panel will consist of diverse voices from the community.

3Strands Global Foundation (3SGF) stands in strong support of the reauthorization of the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act, commonly referred to as the TVPA and originally passed in 2000. Since its official passage, effective human trafficking prevention methodology has been prioritized, granting organizations like 3SGF legislative ground to stand on while working to prevent the crime before it starts and pursuing justice in the lives of victims and survivors.
