Legislation & Advocacy
We believe that part of prevention is political advocacy
on both a local and global level. We know that voices have power, therefore we encourage community members to stand up for victim protection and prevention education implementation.
Our co-sponsored bill: AB 1227, The Human Trafficking Prevention Education and Training Act, was signed into law in 2017.
This law mandates the implementation of prevention education in California schools.
Endorsed HR 6552, The Trafficking Reauthorization Act 2022.
3Strands Global Foundation continues to support the Reauthorization of Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act.
